Experimental and kinetic poetry is a great way to put a new spin on creativity. This movie was totally out of my comfort zone, but it was filmed for a good cause - to raise awareness around domestic violence. Statistics in Australia, reported by White Ribbon:
  • On average, one woman a week is murdered by her current or former partner.
  • 1 in 4 women have experienced emotional abuse by a current or former partner since the age of 15.
  • 1 in 5 women have experienced sexual violence since the age of 15.
  • 85% of Australian women have been sexually harassed.
  • Almost 40% of women continued to experience violence from their partner while temporarily separated.
Violence against women is a complex issue. To find out more or to seek help, visit the White Ribbon website: https://www.whiteribbon.org.au.
